Dr. Ellingson's research includes multi-wavelength studies of galaxy cluster to map their galaxy, gas and dark matter distributions. Recent interdisciplinary work includes astronomical visualizations of Mayan codices and astronomical surveys of pre-Incan sites. She also serves as an astronomical consultant to the National Park Service and planetarium show producer on the astronomical practices of the Ancestral Puebloans.
