Dr. Lewis studies the water quality of streams, rivers, and wetlands in Colorado and the new world tropics. Both natural and disturbed conditions are of interest to him. He also analyzes aquatic food webs and aquatic communities and models aquatic ecosystem processes such as biomass production, responses to nutrients, and respiration.
