research overview

  • Dulock's research focuses primarily on digital collections & libraries. Current interests: assessing in-house library digitization programs at R1 universities; open-reel film digitization in libraries; IT environments/systems (storage, networks) around digitization programs; digitization labs as auxiliary/income-generating units; and repurposing & reuse of metadata in obsolete formats. He has secondary interests in: issues with creating and disseminating digital collections of human rights material; making 'hidden' collections available via digital libraries, such as materials housed in archives and special collections departments; collaboration between libraries and institutions (such as museums) for management and preservation of digital assets.
