The article presents the highlights of the LITA/ALCTS Metadata Interest Group Program held during the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference in Anaheim, California, in June 2012. Speakers discussed the roles of libraries in offering data management services. Anne C. Elguindi of the American University in Washington, D.C., explored the collaboratice construction of a data management infrastructure.
