research overview
- My research interests center around the use of behavioral genetic methods to study individual differences in cognitive abilities and disabilities, and their relations with academic achievement and behavioral problems, as seen in my work with the Colorado Learning Disabilities Research Center and related research projects (for more information, click http://ibg.colorado.edu/cldrc). My interest in reading ability and it’s interrelations with cognitive abilities and academic achievement over time is reflected further in my work with the recently funded Colorado Adoption/Twin Study of Lifespan behavioral development & cognitive aging (CATSLife; AG046938; C.Reynolds and S.J.Wadsworth, PIs) an extension of the Colorado Adoption Project (HD 010333; S.J. Wadsworth, PI; http://ibg.colorado.edu/cap/), exploring the broader relations between cognitive, physical, and emotional health.
