research overview

  • Prof. Lundy's research is focused on the history of early Colorado bookbinders, most of whom were employed by newspapers or job printers. She has identified binders and exemplars of their work and is investigating the frequency of change of employer and residence of both binders and printers in the early years of the Territory and State of Colorado, and the significance of women bookbinders and printers during that period. Prof. Lundy's research also includes investigations on this cataloging topic: assessing the practice of cataloging according to the new cataloging standard RDA and its effects on the Libraries' processes when implemented in early 2013.
