Leslee Broersma's photographic work includes image manipulation, large-scale output, and incorporates text as image. The work draws from personal experience, often through storytelling and the family album. She is currently working on a series of digital photographs, titled 'Academia: Interior Landscapes.' This project was conceptualized on a recent trip to the University of Rochester, where she was struck by the visual relationship between the contemporary student and the grand architecture of the interior spaces of the university. The body of work continues as she photographs the interior spaces of academic buildings. To date, she has visited over 11 universities.
