Assistant Professor Catabay's research interests include critical cataloging, inclusive language usage, and the classification of comics and graphic novels. He is interested in exploring how diverse backgrounds within cataloging personnel benefits users of library cataloging systems by arriving at specific, accurate, and culturally cognizant subject headings. I have also pushed back against microaggressions in academia, and co-authored a brief chapter on how workplace loneliness may lead to burnout and/or dismissal.
