Prof. Arquilla'a research focus is experimental investigations of human health and performance during interactions with a wide range of complex systems; she is an expert in experimental design and statistical analysis for experiments with human participants and small sample sizes. Her expertise includes collection of physiological signals in operational environments using wearable sensors; analysis of novel features from physiological signals; qualitative research methods including survey-based, observational, and interview-based studies; and studies of human-autonomy interactions.
