Richard O’Neill’s performance activities primarily as violist of the Takacs Quartet, that performs worldwide and records for Hyperion Records. In addition, Richard performs solo engagements, both here and abroad. This season he premiered a new viola concerto by Japanese American composer Paul Chihara with the Seoul Philharmonic led by conductor Osmo Vanska, performed locally with the Boulder Phiharmonic and conductor Michael Butterman, and toured South Korea playing recitals and concertos.
