Sara Avila is a Teaching Associate Professor with almost two decades of experience teaching in-person and online. Her research interests are in the fields of environmental economics and teaching. She has worked on the topics of improving air quality, addressing climate change, improving urban transportation, and biodiversity conservation. Her current research focuses on using AI in the Economics Classroom, fostering belonging in the Economics Classroom, and incentives for reducing energy consumption. She is the Recipient of the Best Should Teach Award 2023.
