- Abigail Nims, a professional mezzo-soprano, has performed as soloist with world renowned orchestras and opera companies such as the San Francisco Symphony, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, Wexford Festival Opera, New York City Opera, the São Paulo Symphony, the Detroit Symphony, and the Baltimore Symphony. Her repertoire spans from Baroque to world premieres of new compositions. Ms. Nims' discography includes the role of Melanto on Boston Baroque's Linn Records recording of Monteverdi's IL RITORNO D'ULISSE IN PATRIA (nominated for the Grammy Award: 'Best Opera Recording of 2015'); the role of Zegner Sister, Taller, on Opera Omaha/International Contemporary Ensemble's Pentatone Label recording of Missy Mazzoli's PROVING UP; Veruca Salt in Peter Ash's opera THE GOLDEN TICKET; and Martin Bresnick's song cycle “Falling” on the album EVERY THING MUST GO (both Albany Records).
