    Introduces the student to the common activities performed by an operations manager and sets the stage for the student to operate as a member of a cross-functional team responsible for adding value for the customer. These common activities include planning and designing goods and services, sourcing materials and supplies, producing the goods and delivering the services, and dealing with product end-of-life requirements.   • MBAC 6052 - Capstone Projects

    Provides students with an opportunity to focus on a specific project which would have a positive strategic impact on the company for which they work. For those who have entrepreneurial aspirations, this project could result in a business plan for a new venture. Final deliverable should address marketing, financial, operational, and management implications and strategic impact.
  • MBAX 6460 - Supply Chain Management

    Explores the key issues related to the design and management of supply chains. Covers the efficient integration of suppliers, production facilities, warehouses and stores so that the right products in the right quantity reach customers at the right time. Focuses on the minimization of the total supply chain cost subject to service requirements imposed by a variety of industries. Recommended prerequisite: MBAC 6080.     At the core of GDP and productivity is the science of planning new products of services in design, bringing them to market then producing and replicating it in reliable, dependable, scalable fashion. The course takes an in-depth look at the mechanisms for supporting new product/process design in a scaled, often world-wide supply chain. (MRP, Six Sigma, Modeling Software, Heuristic Model use).
  • MSBX 5450 - Transportation and Logistics

    Examines critical elements of distribution and logistics management, including physical distribution, supply chain echelon planning, warehouse (transportation note) selection and location, material handling, inventory quantity and location and other topics.
