Sarah Goodrum's research focuses on violence prevention, homicide victimization, domestic violence, and the criminal justice system. She is currently a PI, co-PI and consultant on various projects funded by the U.S. Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance, Department of Homeland Security, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and Colorado Department of Public Safety. Her publications have appeared in various social science journals, and her book After Homicide: Victims' Families in the Criminal Justice System was published by Lynn Rienner Publishers. Dr. Goodrum is a Senior Research Associate in Violence Prevention with the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence. Formerly, she served as an A.M. and Jo Winchester Distinguished Professor and Department Chair in Criminology and Criminal Justice at the University of Northern Colorado and as Associate Professor and Department Chair in Anthropology and Sociology at Centre College.
