abstract
The article presents information on the factors regarding the development of economics and law in the U.S. with respect to the ideologies of economic thinkers such as Frank Knight, Richard Posner and Ronald Coase. The factors include law, institutional practices and politics that also determine the activities of the economic actors in production, consumption and the exchange of goods. Information on the concept and relation between law and economics with respect to the application of the economic theory in the competitive markets of the U.S. is also presented.
