Reports that the author was invited in the fall of 2000 by the ministries of culture in Ukraine and Russia to visit their countries to present recitals and master classes in various cities. Notes that the ministries were particularly interested in music written by American composers and in his methods of performing and teaching. Indicates that by the end of his tour, he had performed six recitals and eight master classes in various institutes, colleges and conservatories of music in the cities of Kharkiv, Poltava, Dnipropetrovs'k and St. Petersburg. States that the recital program that he performed featured contemporary works by American composers. Includes photographs.
