research overview

  • My research focuses on environmental interpretations and definitions through colonial processes, and the discrepancies and effects these produce through center/periphery dynamics. In this way, my work aims to generate what I call 'environmental liberations' to illustrate alternative interpretations of landscapes and the environment. Some of the elements I explore to generate these environmental liberations are: language and classification, environmental history and biogeography, and vernacular and indigenous landscapes.
