Focus on twentieth-century Latinx and Latin American art, activism, pedagogy, and community practices, with an emphasis on Chicano art of the U.S. Southwest (New Mexico, Texas, Colorado) and Caribbean and Caribbean diasporic art. Other areas of active research include the historiography and exhibition history of Latinx art and the entanglement of ecology, health, and so-called traditional artistic practices in New Mexico and Puerto Rico.
