Dr. Kilimnik's research focuses on experiences of interpersonal and sexualized violence and the impact they have on psychological and sexual well-being. Broadly, her research focuses on the (a) identity processes that occur in response to violence and trauma exposure, (b) measurement and methodological decision making in the study of violence and trauma, (c) cognitive and social mechanisms through which interpersonal and sexualized violence impact well-being, and (d) the development, evaluation, and implementation of prevention and intervention programs for interpersonal and sexualized violence.
