- Joëlle Cruz studies the intersections of organizing, resilience, and culture. She is particularly interested in communicative enactments of resilience in alternative organizing (indigenous and grassroots) with a focus on traumatized communities (e.g., postconflict Liberia, Ebola crisis in West Africa). Her work has appeared in journals such as Management Communication Quarterly, Organization: The Critical Journal of Organization, Theory, and Society, Qualitative Research in Organizations and Management, and Women’s Studies in Communication.
