I am a sociocultural linguist and a foreign language educator. My research focuses on Arabic sociocultural linguistics, particularly examining how linguistic practices relate to identity, ideology, power, and social structures. My work is interdisciplinary, bringing together linguistics, anthropology, media studies, and history to examine the linguistic knowledge of language users.
