Dr. Flaxman's research is focused primarily on using the synergy of theory and empirical experimentation to understand how to use genomic data to make inferences about the process that drive the formation of new species.

Taught by faculty from across campus, the course provides students with an opportunity to interact in small classes, have project based learning experiences and gain valuable communication skills.
