research overview
- My areas of research include teaching and learning in the STEM fields. Including data visualization, open access publishing, open data, as well as teaching undergraduates how to find, read and use science scholarly literature. I also incorporate historic science materials, book arts, photobooks, and ephemera in science undergraduate educational experiences as well as K-12 toward improving overall engagement with STEM. Specific focus on writing in the sciences and communicating science. I also work toward digitizing science materials in the Archives in order to make them available to researchers across the world and the general public. Develop partnerships with the CU Museum of Natural History to digitize archival papers on fossils to add to their Florissant Fossil Beds database.
