This course empowers students with the knowledge and tools needed to understand, evaluate and manage real estate investment risks and to recognize and capitalize upon potential opportunities. We begin by exploring the typical and not so typical risks in several property types, how to quantify them and how to apply this discipline in the broader, very important investment management function. Finally, students will understand how institutional investment management practices see and address such risks with real-life applications in different investment structures.
