Prepares students for the emerging field of influence journalism and media entrepreneurship. Applies journalism norms and values to a digital media sphere through the study of contract law, social and production distribution, media literacy, strategies to dismantle dis/misinformation, monetization models, media management, generative AI and ethical storytelling. Students will gain the skills to become credible news influencers or digital media managers within both digital-native and traditional news organizations. Same as JRNL 5562.
