Learn about the evolution of maps, the map as an art form, the map as a form of communication, and the ways maps influence our view of the world. Engage in critical thinking about maps and spatial data, and their use in society. In hands-on exercises students learn how to critically read and evaluate maps for expanding their spatial awareness of the world around them.
