  • Presents recent research into methods and software tools for the modeling, analysis, and design of genetic circuits that are enabling the new field of synthetic biology. Teaches both biological and engineering principles in order to enable collaborations between engineers and biologists working in the field of synthetic biology. Recommended prerequisite: some familiarity with genetics, cell biology, molecular biology or biochemistry or familiarity with engineering methods for modeling, analysis and design, but students are not expected to have knowledge in both.
