Analysis of the N-body problem, the dynamical modeling of naturally gravitating systems and mathematical constraints on possible motions. Dynamical coupling between translational and rotational motion. Perturbation theory applied to the motion of spacecraft subject to these gravitational systems. Emphasis will be given to solar system dynamics and astrodynamics in the course. Recommended prerequisite: ASEN 5050 or equivalent or instructor consent required.
