Introduces the basics of atmosphere and space sciences, space exploration, spacecraft design, rocketry and orbits. Students design, build, and launch a miniature satellite on a high altitude balloon. Explores the current research in space through lectures from industry. Degree credit not granted for this course and ASTR 2500, GEEN 1400, ASEN 1403 and ECEN 1400.
