Introduces the fundamentals of nighttime illumination for architectural exteriors and landscapes. Students will learn about the interaction of light and human vision at night; lighting technologies used in outdoor settings; societal, environmental and ecological issues related to the application of light at night; lighting design principles and techniques that use light and darkness both creatively and responsibly. Same as AREN 4540.
