This course introduces students to the current state of corporate sustainability reporting through the lens of accounting and reporting concepts. The course will cover issues with data and measurement, including carbon accounting, and teach students how to access and interpret corporate sustainability information. The course will also provide an introduction to key reporting frameworks, cover current trends in reporting. The course will also touch on additional topics in sustainability reporting, including the intersection of ESG and US GAAP, assurance and ESG ratings, before culminating with a capstone group project.
